INAIL
INAIL (National Institute Of Insurance Against Industrial Injuries) protects the worker against physical and economic damages deriving from accidents and diseases caused by the working activity and relieves the employer of any civil liability connected to the damaging event incurred by his employees and paraemployees.
As by law enacted, insurance is obligatory for all employers engaging employees and paraemployees in activities considered to be risky.
On September 2000, there were 3.299.000 insurance contracts in operation.
