Naples International Airport
Naples International Airport, managed by GE.S.A.C. SpA, was the first airport in Italy to undergo privatisation. The airport operator company was privatised in 1997 when BAA Italia entered as majority shareholder. BAA Italia is wholly owned by BAA plc, the holding company for the British airport operators group. Gesac handles activities in the following sectors:
- Maintenance, management and development of airport infrastructure
- Co-ordination, planning and development of commercial activities
- Customer service management
- Safety standards for airport and related services
- Relations with local communities, government agencies and tertiary companies operating within the airport.
