OPERATIONS
SKYSLOT
OVERVIEW
The SkySlots system allows a computerized management of airport PPR, Prior Permission Required, it is composed of two environments:
- Portal environment that offers:
- Registration On the Portal, the unregistered exhibitor / handler must make an explicit request through a special mask on the reserved area and only after acceptance is it possible to access the portal with their own credentials
- Submission Request PPR, the merchant after access to the portal can check the availability of parking for the period of interest, if there is availability submits his request for PPR and the request enters a queue ordered by date of submission showing the request processing status.
- Backoffice environment that allows:
- Subscription Management: following the request of an operator to register for the portal, a back office operator carefully analyzes the requests and confirms or not the registration. At the end of the confirmation / rejection of the registration an email, generated automatically by the system, will send the subscriber the access credentials to the reserved area of the portal.
- Management of PPR Requests: enabled operators, after access to the SkySlots system from the AOSnice framework, can check the status of a request. Once the response is received from the system, the operator can:
- Forcing the proposed stand, eventually using also stands reserved for commercial aviation
- Validate the status of the request
BENEFITS
The use of SkySlot allows you to
“optimize the management of the requests process through a WEB process”
“Online verification of stand availability”

SOLUTION COMPONENTS
SKYSLOT
Every time a request is changed, SkySlots performs the following actions:
- Acceptance:
- Sending automatic e-mail notification of acceptance to the merchant
- Send automatic mail notification of acceptance to the selected handler
- Automatic generation of the flight cycle in ATM
- Rejection:
- Sending automatic e-mail notification of refusal to the merchant
- In Negotiation:
- Automatically sending automatic notification of new possible hours to the merchant
- The update status of the request is always shown on the portal
- In case of acceptance of the PPR the system updates the status of the PPR in the list by changing it to “Acepted”
- Once the configured waiting period is exceeded, the status will be automatically set to “Denied”.
- Cancellation:
- Sending automatic e-mail notification of cancellation to the merchant
- Logical cancellation of the flight cycle in ATM.
BACKOFFICE ENVIROMENT
The Back-Office environment, on the other hand, is part of the AOSNice airport solution and allows managing requests for subscription to the portal and parking requests submitted by the operator. Following a request from an operator to register for the portal, a back office operator carefully analyzes the requests and confirms whether or not to register. At the end of the confirmation / rejection of the registration an email, generated automatically by the system, will send the subscriber the access credentials to the reserved area of the portal. The enabled operators, after access to the SkySlots system from the AOSnice framework, can check the status of a request.
A request can be:
- acceptable with indication of the assignable stand
- acceptable in the time slot next to the request
- not acceptable due to the lack of stands or the size of aircraft above the General Aviation booths.
Once the response from the system has been obtained, the operator can:
- Forcing the proposed stand, eventually using also stands reserved for commercial aviation
- Validate the status of the request
STATUS OF A REQUEST
The status of a request can be:
- Pending: request pending treatment
- Rejected: rejected request
- Accepted: request accepted
- Negotiating: negotiation in progress
- Canceled: canceled only if the request is in Pending or Accepted status.
PORTAL ENVIROMENT
The portal is the environment dedicated to the operator / carrier that thanks to the access to the reserved area on the portal independently manages their requests for PPR, here the operator can:
- submit their requests for availability to the airport operator,
- modify and / or cancel these requests,
- consult the history of the requests made and the relative status.
From the portal it is also possible to consult a table of stand availability for each time slot and for the next 30 days. All the operations performed on a PPR are traced so as to allow subsequent consultations.
To use the services provided by the PPR system it is mandatory to register before entering your accounting data for the invoicing of the rights. Therefore, a qualified operator must accept the registration request and assign a username for subsequent access to the reserved functions of the portal. The official interlocutors of the system are merchants, although handlers can access the system but only on behalf of the companies.
For the management of PPR requests there is a dedicated section of the portal, where the operator / handler can request the availability of a pitch at the airport authority, using an extremely easy, protected and personalized consultation and management environment. This allows the operator / handler to independently manage their requests and personal data, eliminating the inefficiencies encountered so far with the use of fax and telephone.
